Children's Book Review for Bilingual Beginnings: Pícnic Adventure by Amanda Greenfield

Bilingual Beginnings: Pícnic Adventure by Amanda Greenfield

Published:  March 4, 2025 by Blue Balloon Books

Taken from Goodreads:  It was a perfect day for a pícnic in the park.

Join Lola and Diego on their first of many adventures with Bilingual Beginnings’s debut bilingual children’s book. Through imaginative illustrations and creative context, young readers and their parents will be able to follow Lola on her journey through the neighborhood as well as build exposure to the Spanish language along the way.

Enhance your story time with an interactive book designed to give parents and children alike the confidence to build bilingualism in their home!

My Thoughts:  Picnic Adventure is a fun way to teach your child some Spanish while relating it to familiar items.  Most of the story is in English but there are Spanish words sprinkled in the sentences.   The Spanish words are seen in the colorful illustrations so reader can quickly figure out what the word means.

Lola and Diego are fun and relatable to a young reader.   I would be excited to find more books in this series and learn more.   The Bilingual Beginnings series is a fun way to teach children and adults Spanish words in an easy and fun way.

Thank you Blue Balloon Books for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
