Book Review for Dope! By E.S.P.

Dope! By E.S.P.

Taken from Goodreads:  What if a single pill could give you an instant hit of dopamine?Nova doesn’t mind drugs—at least, not the ones she sells for a living. As a dealer of Dopaxin, a cutting-edge antidepressant derived from dopamine transmitters, she’s mastered the art of selling euphoria. This career doesn’t come without danger, and a string of bad luck has Nova eager to leave the game for good. At oddly perfect timing, a mysterious client appears, offering a payday large enough to grant her an early retirement. The money is irresistible, even if the request pushes Nova beyond what she’s normally willing to do...

But the client's true motives aren’t what they appear, and in the high-stakes world of drug dealing, trust is everything. With everything she has at stake, Nova may have to rely on the very force that got her into the dope business to get her out.

My Thoughts:  Just look at this cover.  It screams DOPE!  I thought I had read just about everything but this book was something new for me.  It was a ride through the world of drugs that I had never been around or on before.   The world of drugs is new to me, I am lucky enough to never have been around or done drugs before.

I enjoyed the premise of Nova being set up by a “matchmaker” on dates with the job of stealing their drugs.   She gets paid well and is able to keep her own habit fed well.  I felt that she was a true to life character and could see many characteristics that I would associate with an addict.

Dope! Is a unique story and I enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone.  I recommend everyone reading this shorter book and enjoying this story.

Thank you to the author for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
