The Remarkable Things You Learned Today by Taylor Burns

Published:  March 4, 2025 by Blue Balloon Books

Taken from Amazon:  “Welcome home, beautiful baby! Now that your day is done, let’s talk about all you learned and relive all the fun!”

After another day at daycare, a mother invites her little one to share the adventures of the day with her. From learning colors and singing nursery rhymes to practicing manners and embracing diversity, this story discusses each wonderful thing a child can learn. Written for the author’s own daughter who returns home each day with new knowledge of exciting life lessons, The Remarkable Things You Learned Today is a story that any caregiver can relate to.

Exploring these stories together will help readers delight in memories with their loved ones and celebrate the joy of learning. Each page bursts with vibrant illustrations, capturing the essence of childhood wonder and exploration. The text flows like a gentle melody and engages young readers with its rhythmic cadence. Parents and caregivers will enjoy using The Remarkable Things You Learned Today to spark conversations about daily experiences and foster a love for learning in the children in their lives.

My Thoughts:  The Remarkable Things You Learned Today is a great way to start a conversation with your child when you do not get to spend the whole day with them, seeing what they are doing.   There are many questions asked that will lead to learning about the things that your child saw, touched, ate, or played with.

The illustrations are true to what a day at school or daycare could entail.  They give great examples of what could be done in a day.  This is a book that needs no words. The pictures tell the story perfectly but I did enjoy reading the words.

Thank you Blue Balloon Books for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
