Release Blitz with a Review for Power Play by Anastasija White

Power Play by Anastasija White is now live!

LAYLA BENSON only cares about two things: her two-year-old daughter, Maya, and her flower shop. Determined to be the best mom for Maya and to provide her with everything she needs, she swore off relationships. They aren't in the cards for her anyway, as Layla believes her bad luck in love is her punishment for breaking CLAY RODGERS's heart.

Clay is the new goalie for California Thunders, the team he's been longing to join so he can play together with his best friends. Everything is falling into place for him, including the Stanley Cup within reach for the first time in his career. But making Layla his again is his ultimate goal.

Not even his broken heart or her broken promises make him waver. Layla is the only girl he's ever loved, and he's done letting her walk away from him.

Will Clay be able to convince Layla to give their relationship a second chance, or will she push him away again, breaking his heart to the point of no return?

My Thoughts:  Hockey romance is my winter jam this year.   I cannot stop reading them and with each book I find that I enjoy them more and more.   Power Play is part of Sinners on Ice Series but is the first one that I have read.  I love that it was a standalone but now I want to go back and read the others and see what I missed.

Layla and Clay have a deep history that includes a lot of heartbreak.   I blame Layla for 90% of the heartbreak.   While I enjoyed getting to know her, I struggled to feel any sympathy for her.    I felt like she was always making bad decisions and jumping to conclusions without getting all the facts, both in her past and in her present.   Clay was persistent.  He never gave up that she was IT for him.   Layla is one lucky girl to have a guy like him in her life.

I enjoyed the story, a lot.   It was fun to see Clay win back Layla.  I love the scenes with Maya, she is such a smart sweet little girl that I fell in love with her.   Power Play is a great hockey romance.   I am a Chicago fan, but liked that Utah was mentioned.
