Whether you’re a budding biologist, you’re an aspiring artist, or you simply like playing outside, this journal is your guide to endless adventures. Grab your pencil, put on your hiking boots, and let's get outdoors!

My Thoughts:  Not only is this a great book to take on an adventure outside in nature; it is also great for parents to come up with unique ideas on what to do with their child outside. My Epic Nature Journal is an interactive book encouraging the child to explore and have an adventure.

I love the prompts and the uniqueness of each page.   There are pages to draw a picture on, pages to fill in the blank, pages with fun facts about what might be seen, and so much more.   I love the crazy questions.   This book is full of questions to make you think outside the box, adventures to go on, and projects that will be so much fun to do.

Thank you  Blue Balloon Publishing for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

5 W’s of Writing a book and being an author…

Who? Who are you besides a children’s book author?

I am the viral educator OutdoorAnthony, an American Ninja Warrior Athlete, a wilderness expert, and a conservationist. I am passionate about using all my skills towards the goal of environmental conservation.

What? What helped you decide to write a children’s book? Or how do you decide what to write?

It kind of just came out of my video creations. After a lot of time educating people through videos, it became clear that I could really help and inspirte new generations to love this planet by diversifying my mediums. I have a 4 year old nephew who is wondrous and excited for adventure, and I wanted to help foster that.

Where? Where do you do most of your writing?

I did most of my writing in two places, next to the Upper Truckee river in Lake Tahoe, or at my fevorite Denny’s if I’m being honest.

When? When do you do most of your writing? How do you find the time in a busy life?

I do my best writing at night. I have a notepad on my phone that I will jot down ideas on, then organize all of it at night when I turn in for the night.

Why? Why do you write? Do you write books other than children books?

I write to help expand my creativity. I love writing stories, as well as writing songs. I think everyone should sit down and write something, and just see what comes out. I think it’d be great therapy!
