Chasing his
dream of becoming a country music star, cowboy Jase Smith takes a job with a
singing telegram company to make ends meet. He's hired to deliver a breakup
tune to a woman on Valentine's Day, and meets music exec Leigh Anderson. Could
she be the one he's meant to make sweet music with?
My Thoughts…
Cupid’s Cowboy
is a novella. It is short, it is fun,
and it is sexy. I was able to read it
in an afternoon and love that it was that easy of a read.
That being said
Jase Smith is a whiny singer. He has
talent but dang he doesn’t trust that anyone is doing right by him. He tests every person and drove me
nuts. I loved the idea of this story
but OH MY GOSH… how much does a person have to do to prove that they have your
best interests on heart. I wanted
more steam, more sexy scenes, and more alpha maleness. The one thing I did love is how he pushed
Leigh to get away from her current job and branch out on her own. She needed that push.
I looked… Cupid’s Cowboy got many 5 star reviews so I
truly believe many readers will love this story and these characters for me it
just didn’t have what I was looking for.
I will give it 3 stars with the thought that I did read the entire
novella and enjoyed it.
