Mark JG Fahey is not an alien, contrary to what you may have heard, though he swears he has been to space. Mark has dabbled in various undertakings throughout his illustrious career, from on-air hosting/reporter/stand-up comic to messenger for the Prime Minister of Canada. Mark also holds a degree in Restaurant Services. His family and friends can attest to his excellent cooking skills. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Mark was raised and still resides in Aylmer, Quebec, Canada. Halley's Casino is the first book in the Halley's Casino trilogy.

There
are many books out there about….What makes yours different?
Halley's Comet, an intergalactic casino posing as a comet?
I would say that's different. I did much
research before starting to write and found
nothing like it anywhere.
How
did you do research for your book?
Research was a big task, my book encompasses time travel among other things
I wanted to be 100 % sure that all
historical place, events and names were true to the
time frame and thus I was able to play with
these places, events and names to suit the story line
without changing to much or any of real
history because you know time travel is tricky to say the least.
What
made you write a book about…?
I have always been fascinated with Halley's
Comet from a early age and one day this
amazing thought came into my mind. Halley
Comet is really a intergalactic casino = Halley's Casino.
Is
there a specific ritualistic thing you do during your writing time?
Besides reading and writing I hate
arithmetic, music is a BIG part of my life.
Music is always playing in the background
as I write, it's a must, as well music
plays a important part of the book without
naming spoilers. If you love rock n roll the keen
music lover will find all sort of musical
references.
If
you could go back in time, where would you go?
Ancient Rome
What
advice would you give budding writers?
Don't give up. Write for YOU and not for any
fame or fortune .

This book sounds intriguing and unique. I am Canadian and know Ottawa and the area well since I lived in Mtl. for a very long time. The author sounds interesting and creative especially learning about being a messenger for the PM. Which one? Thanks for this great feature and giveaway.
