My Thoughts:  How cute is this book?  It is a story to encourage children to get out of the house and look around the great outdoors.   The book shows more than just the backyard animals, it shows the trees on the ground, the animals living in trees, and the clues they leave behind.    The illustrations are very detailed and if you are reading this to a child there is a lot to look at on each page. 

Friends of the Great Outdoors:Woodlands is a great addition to any children’s library.
