My Thoughts: Steamy, sexy, secret lives, friendships, and falling in
love are all words that come to mind when I think of Austin Heat. This book had me turning pages, feeling the
heat, and hoping that Jake and Rakell figure their lives out together.
I love a good sports book and Austin Heat is exactly that, even though it is off-season and no football is played. Jake is an NFL player and Rakell has no clue, but she has her own secret life. The two of them go in circles around each other as they both try to keep their other lives secret. It almost felt like lies to each other at times. They would dance around their truths, while trying to be as honest as possible.
Let’s talk about the heat between them. From their first meet at the gym the heat was off the charts. The sparks were flying just from their looks much less their first touches. I LOVED it all. They both were demanding, they both took, but even more they had so much to give to each other.
