Title: Gorgeous: Book One
Series: The Gorgeous Duet
Author: Lisa Shelby
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 6, 2018

When Ronan makes her a job offer she can’t refuse, Olivia makes it clear she has no intention of anything more than a professional relationship with this man whose lifestyle is anything but “less".
But what happens when Olivia slowly discovers Ronan is much more than she ever could have imagined?
What if she fills Ronan’s cold, gray life with warmth and color?
Is it possible that these two people, from vastly different worlds, are actually meant to be?
My Thoughts…
I was so into this
book. Both Ronan and Olivia were
characters that I am attached to. I
needed to know their story, I wanted to know what was going to happen to them,
and they HAD to end up together.
There is no doubt in my mind that they belong together. They are perfect for each other, they
understand each, push each other to be their best, and give each other the
space that they require.
In Gorgeous there are
stories within stories. Olivia’s past
is a great sub-story. Learning of her
childhood made her adult life make sense.
You could see what she was reluctant to rely on anyone else, why she was
so closed in, and why she was afraid to open herself up. Ronan’s past is explained much earlier in
the story with the introduction of his father. Just meeting Ronan’s father made me
thankful that Ronan had a nanny and uncle to love and nurture him when his own
parents were not willing to do so.
This is a 2 book
series. Book one ended with my mouth
hanging open and me being anxious for the next book to be released. Luckily they are being released only a few
weeks apart so I will learn the rest of their story soon.
Lisa Shelby is a new
author to me and I will be making time to go back and read her other
books. I definitely recommend picking
up your own copy of Gorgeous: Book One ASAP.
