Misha and Borys
sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G …
Misha falls in lust at first sight with the big, sexy bear shifter, but she
doesn't have time for his mating nonsense. Raised in Russia by tiger shifters,
she came to America to follow up on her first real lead for finding her
biological family.
Borys wants the smokin’ hot bear who recently wandered into town. Now all he
has to do is convince Misha that she’s meant to be his. The stubborn woman
won’t give him the time of day, though, saying she’s looking for her kin.
His biggest problem? He might be the family she's looking for.
This is a standalone novella in
Celia Kyle's Grayslake: More than Mated Kindle World!
My Thoughts…
Bears Do It
Better had me laughing out loud.
Borys, spelled with a y not an i, is a great shifter character. He is so unlike any other I have read
about. He is an alpha, he is a bear
shifter, and he is hilarious. Misha is
a bear shifter raised by Tiger shifters.
Of course, DUH!, the attraction has to be there. From the minute Borys got out of the car
and smelled cookies I knew this relationship would amazing.
While sometimes
I feel like there should be more to a relationship than just sex, with Borys
and Misha it just was so right. In the
shifter world finding your mate is rare and something most shifters really hope
to find. The sex in the shifter world
is always hot, steamy, and earth shaking exactly what happen between Borys and
Misha. It was perfect!
Jessie Lane
wrote the perfect novella for the More than Mated Kindle World.
I sell drugs. Heroin to be specific. And I'm fucking good at my job. Enough to fight my way to the top position, controlling all of Austin's supply.
So what if I had to kill the previous boss to do it. I do what has to be done. Never cared about consequences because I never had anything to lose.
Until I met Miri. My doll. She's my weakness and somehow, my enemies found out about her.
If they hurt her, they will regret the day they ever heard my name. Boss. They call me Boss for a reason. What I say goes, including the price on the heads of anyone who dares to fuck with what belongs to me.
My Miri.
My Thoughts…
Oh My Jagger! I knew that he was a good guy, even with his tough guy exterior and his drug lord ways. In Junkie, book one of this series, he showed that he could be ruthless if he has to be but in reality he has the biggest, strongest heart. When Junkie ends Miri is in a horrible situation that is caused by Jagger’s role as a drug lord. Jagger picks up right where Junkie ended. Jagger is willing to go to the end of the world to save and protect Miri. There is no one off limits, no place to hide her, and nothing he won’t do to get her back. I love how he doesn’t let anyone get in his way to protect what is his. MINE! is definitely what Miri is to Jagger.
The dual points of view are perfect for this story. It was wonderful to get both Miri and Jagger’s view on the happenings in their life. Miri tells the tale of being held captive and how she fights to work through it just to get back to the man she loves. Jagger tells the story of how he fights to get Miri back and what he has to do to keep her safe. Neither of the stories are easy to read. Heather C. Leigh holds nothing back. This story is not easy to read, it is rough, it is brutal, and it is vicious to read.
I recommend this book and this series. It is definitely not what everyone will enjoy but I loved every word, chapter, and page.

Heather C. Leigh is the author of the Amazon best selling Famous series. She likes to write about the 'dark' side of fame. The part that the public doesn't get to see, how difficult it is to live in a fishbowl and how that affects relationships.
Heather was born and raised in New England and currently lives outside Atlanta, GA with her husband, 2 kids, and French Bulldog, Shelby.
She loves the Red Sox, the Patriots, and anything chocolate (but not white chocolate, everyone knows it's not real chocolate so it doesn't count) and has left explicit instructions in her will to have her ashes snuck into Fenway Park and sneakily sprinkled all over while her family enjoys beer, hot dogs, and a wicked good time.
My favorite authors are Dan Wells, Ken Follett, and Stephen King.
#1 New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr creates an emotional and uplifting
ensemble of characters in this rags-to-riches-to-rags novel about women,
friendship and the complex path to happiness
In the aftermath of her financier husband's suicide, Emma Shay Compton's dream
life is shattered. Richard Compton stole his clients' life savings to fund a
lavish life in New York City and, although she was never involved in the
business, Emma bears the burden of her husband's crimes. She is left with
nothing.
Only one friend stands by her, a friend she's known since high school, who
encourages her to come home to Sonoma County. But starting over isn't easy, and
Sonoma is full of unhappy memories, too. And people she'd rather not face,
especially Riley Kerrigan.
Riley and Emma were like sisters—until Riley betrayed Emma, ending their
friendship. Emma left town, planning to never look back. Now, trying to stand
on her own two feet, Emma can't escape her husband's reputation and is forced
to turn to the last person she thought she'd ever ask for help—her former best
friend. It's an uneasy reunion as both women face the mistakes they've made
over the years. Only if they find a way to forgive each other—and
themselves—can each of them find the life she wants.
My Thoughts…
Robyn Carr wrote a story that is full of so much
emotion. There are second chances,
renewed friendships, and strong women characters within this story. Emma Shay and Riley were best friends who
had a falling out of a guy and never managed to reconnect until Emma comes back
home after her husband kills himself.
The mess Emma is left with comes as a shock and changes her entire
life. I loved Emma. The strength, the power, and the ability to
stand on her own two feet made her so very strong. While most women would fall apart and
play the poor me card whenever they could Emma decides to come out on top and
make a life for herself. She does that
and so much more.
Riley is equally as strong. Growing up poor, without a father, and then
becoming a single mother is not an easy life.
Yet, Riley proves she has what she takes to make something of
herself. She takes a house cleaning
business and builds it into a successful business. I really enjoyed how she respected her
employees. She catered to the working
and single parents; she understood the life’s that they led and what they
needed to be employed successfully. But
what really stuck with me is when she started to realize what she was missing
in her life. She began to understand
what was important and what needed to be changed to be able to become
successful and happy. I think this is
a lesson for many parents’ not just single parents.
There were other relationships within this story but
Emma and Riley’s is the one that I enjoyed the most. Adam and Emma were great together, Riley and
Jock’s was interesting, but the best friend relationship is what really talked
to me the most.
I recommend picking up your own copy of The Life She
Wants.
“I’m frequently asked what it is about my
stories that make them so popular. I think it’s the sense of community and that
combination of romance and women’s fiction,” says author Robyn Carr. “I’m
naturally drawn to strong, capable female characters, and when I begin a story,
I ask myself, ‘What is she up against?’ It’s very empowering to read about
women like ourselves as they resolve the issues that threaten their happiness
and peace of mind. It’s also empowering to watch smart women choosing and
falling in love with men of honor and integrity.”
The author of more than 40 novels, Robyn
reaches a wide audience with her writing. In addition to her touching novels,
she’s written historical and contemporary romance, as well as a gripping
thriller. “This is the best job I’m ever going to get wearing pajamas,” she
says of her writing career.
Originally
from Minnesota, Robyn and her family have seen much of the country, thanks to
her husband, Jim, and his career in aviation. After the two high school
sweethearts married, Jim joined the air force. They’ve lived in Texas—all four
corners—Alabama, Florida, California, Utah, Arizona and Nevada. The couple
moved to Henderson, Nevada, so Jim could explore a new business opportunity.
“At first, being a Midwest girl at heart, I said, ‘Oh, no, not another desert!’
It didn’t take me long to fall in love with the beauty of Nevada—and the
unrivaled spectacle of Las Vegas!”
Robyn well
remembers how she began her career as an author more than 25 years ago. “I was
trained as a nurse but found it impossible to get work because my husband was
constantly being transferred. At the time, I was reading a lot of genre fiction
for the sheer entertainment value, and I thought to myself, ‘I can write
this!’”
And how was her first foray into the world of
literature received? “It was universally panned. I thought I had written Gone
with the Wind, but in actuality it was complete trash.” In fact, it was on her
third try that Robyn finally succeeded in becoming a published author. Now that
Robyn’s two children are grown—and finally out of the house—she has the luxury
of a little free time. “Until my kids grew up, I didn’t realize that a person
could have hobbies other than laundry,” she jokes. But it turns out not to be
hobbies that keep Robyn busy when she isn’t writing— she has found her niche in
community service.
She has
mentored a seniors’ memoir-writing group, attends book club chats in and out of
state whenever possible and is working with her local library on the Carr Chat
Series, a program centered on fund-raising and visiting-author events that
bring writers, their books and the community together. “It is the people in my
life that fill the well,” she says. “Especially the people who share my love
for books and writing.”
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR RAEANNE THAYNE DELIVERS
HER MOST WARMHEARTED TREAT YET FOR THE HOLIDAYS
SNOWFALL ON
HAVEN POINT
Come celebrate the festive season with the authority
on contemporary holiday romance, New York Times
and USA TODAY bestselling author RaeAnne Thayne,
who returns with another chapter in the trials and
tribulations of small town life in SNOWFALL ON
HAVEN POINT (HQN Books, October 2016, $7.99
U.S./$9.99 CAN.). Set beneath the rugged Idaho
mountainside in a magical lakeside town where even
the most damaged of souls may find comfort,
SNOWFALL ON HAVEN POINT is the latest
installment in Thayne’s popular Haven Point series.
Andrea Montgomery—graphic artist and widowed
mother to two beautiful young children—is still
acclimating to peaceful Haven Point after surviving
the most tumultuous time of her life, a period that
included not only the death of her beloved husband—a
Portland police officer—but also an awful physical
assault inflicted on her by an obsessive stalker whose
pursuit of Andie eventually culminated in a terrifying shootout with the Haven Point police.
Now, for the first time in a year, Andie is finally starting to feel safe. She and her fragile kids are even
looking forward to their first Haven Point Christmas—one that thankfully doesn’t include any more big,
scary men around to frighten them. But then Andie is asked to look after a neighbor—a friend’s brother—
who recently broke his leg. Unfortunately, that neighbor just happens to be County Sheriff Marshall
Bailey—the most intimidating and foul tempered man in town.
Sheriff Marshall Bailey is used to being in control of every facet of his life. Single and devoted only to his
career, Marshall is investigating a significant amount of missing funds from the Haven Point police
department when he is suddenly mowed down by an anonymous hit-and-run driver in an isolated snowy
parking lot one night, leaving him with a shattered leg but lucky to be alive. Aware that his attacker is
likely someone close to him, Marshall just wants to be left alone to heal and to get to the bottom of this
case without any distractions….
However, when Andie appears on his doorstep the next day offering her aid, with two precocious kids in
tow, Marshall is unappreciatively taken aback. Rudely independent, the last thing Marshall wants is
anyone making him feel like a pity project, especially someone who dislikes him as much as Andie
obviously does.
Although initially turned off by Marshall’s unapologetic masculinity, Andie soon finds herself warming
to the decent, caring man beneath the gruff exterior, an individual to whom her tentative children quickly
become attached. But no matter how attracted she begins to find him, Andie knows that Marshall is offlimits
as far as she’s concerned. This widow has vowed never to get involved with a policeman again.
Marshall also knows Andie needs someone far more family-oriented and less set in his stubborn ways
than him. But for the first time in his life, he can actually envision a life beyond the job….
But when Marshall’s life is threatened by a dangerous assailant, Andie finds herself at a crux—caught
between choosing the safe, comfortable world she’s been building around herself since the assault or
fighting for Marshall and a possibility of a life together.
SNOWFALL ON HAVEN POINT
Meet New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author RaeAnne Thayne loves words.
Her love
affair started as soon as she learned to read, when she used to devour anything she could get her
hands on: cereal boxes, encyclopedias, the phone book, you name it! She loves the way words
sound, the way they look on the page and the amazing way they can be jumbled together in so
many combinations to tell a story.
Her love of reading and writing those words led her to a fifteen-year career in journalism as a
newspaper reporter and editor.
Through it all, she dreamed of writing the kind of stories she loved best. She sold her first book
in 1995 and since then she’s published more than 40 titles. Her books have won many honors,

Achievement Award from RT Book Reviews.

Lost Wolf Stacy Claflin (Curse of the Moon, #1) Publication date: July 17th 2016 Genres: Paranormal Romance, Young Adult
She’s hiding a dark secret. It already killed her once.
Victoria can’t wait to start college, but there’s a hitch—she can’t remember anything before arriving on campus. Her memories spark when she sees her ruggedly handsome math professor, but she senses something horrific. The shock on his face affirms her fears.
Toby is an alpha wolf who never thought he’d see his true love again—not after she died in his arms. Nothing could have prepared him for her walking into his class. But to his dismay, not only has she forgotten what happened, she doesn’t even know who she is.
He’s determined to do whatever it takes to restore what they’ve lost. Can Toby help Victoria recover her memories, or will he lose her forever?
Beads of sweat broke out along my hairline. I wiped them away, tightened my ponytail, and ran faster along the dirt trail, jumping over exposed roots and ducking under low-hanging branches. Pine trees, firs, and alders turned my path into more of an obstacle course than a trail.
A twig snapped behind me.
I glanced back, but didn’t see anything. Probably just a raccoon.
My sneaker hit a root and my arms flew in front of me. I landed on my hands and knees, and slid down an incline. Rocks and branches dug into my skin until I crashed into a huckleberry bush.
I stood and dusted myself off. Blood dripped from my legs. I pulled twigs, dirt, and small rocks from the cuts.
“Nice work, Victoria,” I muttered to myself.
Sasha had said I shouldn’t have gone into the forest for my first jog. But having just moved to the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, I wasn’t about to join a club when I had the great outdoors. Birds chirped all around and a stream bubbled nearby. It was like the woods were telling me I’d made the right choice.
Another snap.
“Who’s there?” I sounded a lot braver than I felt. My heart thundered against my ribcage and I whipped my head around. My roommates had said the woods were safe, but I was also trusting people who had been strangers only a couple days earlier.
Why had I gone into the woods alone? Wasn’t that how half of all horror movies started?
I thought of Sasha running on a treadmill, flirting with cute college guys. Maybe she was the smart one.
Footsteps.
“Hello?” I called.
Nothing. The birds had even stopped singing.
“Is anyone there?”
The footsteps came closer.
My pulse drummed in my ears. I fought to breathe normally.
A small gray and black wolf stepped out from behind the tree. He made eye contact with me.
I didn’t move a muscle, holding its gaze.

CRUSHING ON LOVE is part of the Love in Bloom series. While this can be read as a stand-alone novel, for even more reading enjoyment you may want to read the entire Love in Bloom series in series order.
My Thoughts…
Anyone who has followed my blog knows that I LOVE Melissa
Foster and her Love in Bloom Series.
This is my second favorite book in the series, my first being Treat
Braden’s book ~Lovers at Heart. Steve..
Oh Steve. I wanted to climb that
mountain and give him some company, even though he was seemed to be happy being
a loner. I knew he needed company, I
knew his soul mate was out there, and I was thrilled when Shannon Braden showed
up on his mountain. She is exactly
what he needed to shake up his life.
Shannon Braden is chatty and outgoing, both things Steve
Johnson is not. I knew that when I
heard Shannon and Steve were going to be together it was going to be
fireworks. Melissa Foster did not
disappoint. The sparks flew, the heat
was obvious, and there was never a doubt that these two were meant to be. Yet, I really enjoyed their honesty and
conversations. They put it all on the
table, telling what they were each looking for, and what they were willing to
give up. These conversations showed
just how true and worthy there were of finding each other and their true
loves.
This entire series is full of contemporary romances with
amazing characters, wonderful happy ever afters, and hot sex! The characters are realistic and
lovable. The settings are always amazing
with the stunning mountains, exotic islands, beautiful beaches, and gorgeous
ranches. But the best parts of
Melissa’s stories are the relationship and friendships. They are the things that readers dream
of.
If there is any doubt… CHECK THIS BOOK OUT! Actually check this entire series
out. This is truly a series that can
be read in any order. The characters
make appearances in each other’s books but each book has a beginning and an
ending. There are no cliffhangers.
